About

Pocket Lap started as a shared spreadsheet between two friends who kept arguing about which racing game actually felt good with touch controls. That argument turned into notes, the notes turned into reviews, and eventually we put them online so other people could stop downloading junk.,We're a small editorial team, not a marketing channel. Every game gets installed, played for at least a few hours, and put through the same questions: does it control well, does it respect your time, and does it run without frying the battery. Then we write it up in plain words.,We pick games for the catalog based on what people actually search for and what lands in our inbox. Genre matters less than whether the thing is fun on a screen you hold in one hand. We cover racing, arcade, RPGs, strategy, and the odd casual gem that surprised us.,Nobody here gets paid to say nice things. If a game is average, the review will read as average. That's the whole point.
